350th Gala Ball

The 350th Celebration Gala Ball will be held on June 18, 2005 at the historic Groton School. One of the major events of the 350th Anniversary of the Town of Groton, this promises to be an elegant and memorable evening.

Starting at 7 p.m., guests will be ushered into the Dining Hall building by a contingent of the Groton Minutemen who will line the entrance walkway, playing the fifes and drums.

Once inside, guests will enjoy a hearty selection of hors d’oeuvres, served throughout the evening, followed by a delicious array of delectable desserts and coffee to complete this special celebration. A full-service cash bar will be available, along with a wine bar.

Dancing to the music of the well-known 14-piece band, the “Comeback Kids”, promises to make this a lively and fun night. Dress is semi formal, with costumes encouraged.

Tickets for the 350th Gala Ball have been designed as keepsakes from this important event. Specially engraved brass tickets will be presented in a red velvet box and are limited to the ball event only.

Due to space limitations at the school, only 400 tickets will be sold, on a first come, first served basis. The tickets go on sale on Feb 1, 2005 – and are orderable by mail only.

All ticket orders must be postmarked on Feb 1 or after. There will be no early ticket purchases. Cost is $60 per person.
